I would like to begin this blog<\/strong><\/a> with a quote from the International best selling author, Prof. Yuval Noah Harari. In his book, \u201921 lessons for the 21st century\u2019, he says \u201cIn a world deluged by irrelevant information, clarity is power\u201d<\/strong>. Lack of focus then becomes the major weakness in all our endeavors, whether it is personal life or professional work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

80% of our lifetime is being spent on a few major roles, which can be counted on one\u2019s fingers. In a constantly changing world with countless variables, the journey becomes complicated, if our habits are misaligned with our goals. Let us get familiar with 3 Game changers, which can be applied together to re-engineer our personalities and sail through uncharted waters, easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 Game Changers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Game changer # 1 : STOP <\/strong>\u2013 These habits need to be stopped immediately, since they can act as impediments in our journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Game changer # 2 : START <\/strong>\u2013 This refers to the initiation of a new habit, which will take us closer to our set goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Game changer # 3 : CONTINUE <\/strong>\u2013 There could be certain habits, which we are already practicing and need to be continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example in Personal life  ( Goal : To\nmaintain good health )  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

STOP \u2013 We need to \u2018STOP\u2019 the addictive\nsmoking habit, which acts against our will. Many such habits, if not stopped in\ntime, can start eroding our self-confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

START \u2013 A suitable exercise regimen immediately so that we can return the excess fat back to Mother Earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONTINUE \u2013 The habit of keeping oneself well hydrated regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example in Professional work  ( Goal\n: To become an inspiring leader )  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

STOP \u2013 The habit of micromanaging the tasks of the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

START \u2013 Understanding the subtle differences between managing inert resources and leading talented people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONTINUE \u2013 The habit of praising in a team meeting and mentoring in private, as far as the team members are concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
