All our computers and laptops, at HelloLeads<\/strong><\/a>, were purchased from Dell. So, as a customer, we have seen the level of service Dell provided.  I have always appreciated Dell for its customer focus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had a\nchance to read, many years ago, \u2018Direct from Dell\u2019, written by its founder,\nMichal Dell and I used to take notes of things that could help me in my\nbusiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the last weekend, when I was cleaning my cubicle at office, I found my hand written notes I had taken few years back. When we started HelloLeads<\/strong><\/a>, these were our guiding lights and they still are!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Find ways to get close to customer. Don\u2019t forget that customers have different needs, fears, questions and sensitivities. Tailoring your focus to a customer of one – even if you have many \u2013 paves the way for you to provide personalized service<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you do it?  You have to be open, flexible and be able to\nrespond to a broad spectrum of customer needs, the moment they utter them \u2013 if\nnot the moment before they utter them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our customers have more important things to do\nthan mess around with Personal Computers. That is exactly the way you hear them\ndescribe it. They say, \u201cWe are a Bank, we make Cars, we run an Airline. It\ndoesn\u2019t make any sense for us to do these other things. Why can\u2019t you do it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focus on adding as much value as you possibly\ncan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we don\u2019t take responsibility for our customers\u2019\nproblems, those very same problems, will inevitably resurface in some \u2013 most\nnotably, in our losing them as customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We aim to be more than just a computer\nsupplier. We try to become a customer\u2019s advisor on technology strategy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jack Welch of GE has been quoted as saying\n\u201cEverything we do must be aimed at either getting a customer or keeping a\ncustomer\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I spend about 40% of my time with customers.\nWhen people hear that, they often say, \u201cWow, that is lot of time to spend with\ncustomers\u201d. I say, \u201cI thought that was my job\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you are running a company or even a group, there are a lot of ways to spend your day. But to me, there is nothing more refreshing than spending time with customers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
